You get what I'm saying.
I just dont get the appeal of this game. And its even stranger to me that all these fans are donating to the prize pool. Just seems so weird.
This was actually done before with the Alone in the Dark reboot. Each level was designed as though it was one episode of a TV series. Even the menu screen and general interface was made to look like a DVD's menu system. It was kinda neat. Did make the actual game any better, but fun idea anyway.
Hey man, don't knock it till you've tried it. ;P
As I said in an earlier comment, I used the word "system" to refer to the PlayStation Now service itself and not the PlayStation 4 console. It was a bad choice of words.
If PSNow collapses it will have very little effect on the console itself. Once again, my apologies.
By "system" I was referring to PlayStation Now, not the actual PS4 console. Bad choice of words. Apologies.
I have to agree with you. Valve was totally in the wrong here. And I think the writer is mistaken in the belief that they "can’t allow people to confront you in public and get away with it".
Valve's reaction here was spiteful
We get that its a Beta. But I think as Sony fans, we just want the company to know that we hope those prices are just placeholders. Sony has done a lot to win back our trust and they've shown a willingness to listen to the fans. So we're just being fans showing that we're concerned about something.
I don't know this developer. Never heard of them before this. That's probably being judgmental, but the idea seems way too ambitious for an untested studio.
Having said that. No one knew who Rocksteady was and they gave us Arkham Asylum.
This game sound like a gritty amalgam of Psychonauts and the crappy Mindjack.
If they can pull it off as they claim, then it could well be a sleeper hit. But I'm a bit cynical about its chances of success
That Ori and the Blind Forest look absolutely mesmerizing. Hopefully it comes to PS4 as well.
There's some real potential with this game. Hope it does well enough to get a sequel where it can really get the most out of its interesting ideas
I think this is a case of misdirected anger. You can accuse Ubisoft of many things, but a unwillingness to have diverse characters certainly isn't one. I remember when Assassin's Creed 1 was first announced. The company was really on the back foot because Altair was Muslim. That was a bold move on their part.
It worked out in the end, because Altair's religion had little bearing on the games quality. If anything, the Assassin's Creed franchise is proof that ha...
Apologies if this causes offense. But I find that white males have a difficult time understanding the need of non-white, non-male people to have representative character in their games. No is suggesting that we do away with white male characters in gaming, or any other medium for that matter, but it would be very encouraging to women and people of colour to see themselves in the games they play.
Anecdotal example. I've thrown every game under the sun at my daughter, tryin...
Thats a first for me to.
I smell the Molyneux effect.
That may be true. But as I said earlier, if nearly half of gamers are female, I would imagine there a lot of people that do want female leads. Or even just more females generally.
"Don't like it, don't buy it" is becoming a sorry excuse. To use an extreme analogy. I don't like crack and I don't buy it. So because I don't buy it, does that mean I should just keep my mouth shut about how harmful it is?
I understand that this is Ubisoft creation and they should be allowed to create whatever they want. But I'm also free to be critical of it. They're under no obligation to listen to me. But that doesn't mean I shoul...
On the one hand I really lament the loss of physical products, but I can't argue with the some of these prices.
If its done with full disclosure i guess its ok. But I would not buy this myself.
